Has anyone else given this cast album a listen? As the title suggests it is based on the Goosebumps novel "Phantom of the Auditorium." I definitely remember the book and the TV series episode based on the book from when I was a kid. Just listening to the album, the show itself seems geared toward a younger audience like the books are. The cast is pretty strong. Noah Galvin is a standout as Brian Colson, Alex Brightman is largely doing his Beetlejuice voice again as Emile the night janitor and Sheryl Lee Ralph is delightful and criminally underused as the drama teacher Ms. Walker. Author R.L. Stine is featured in a cameo role as Principal Stine, of course. Krystina Alabado, Will Roland and Stephanie Styles play the three students auditioning for the "Phantom" school play. Overall I thought it was a fun listen and it brought me back to my elementary school days. As a Goosebumps and musical theatre fan "Phantom of the Auditorium" was easily my favorite book in the series.

I’m listening to it now and I’m really enjoying it. The songs are catchy and the cast all sound great. I could definitely see this become a popular choice for high schools, especially if they wanted to do a Halloween/“scary” themed show.

I just listened to the show and I really love it. The cast is great, they embrace the campy nature of the books without being cheesy, and the songs are all really well-written. I especially like "Understudy Buddy", which I expect to see at a lot of auditions and cabarets in the future.

Totally agree. I texted my friend after listening to the album saying how we'll be hearing that song a lot in future audition rooms. Probably the best song in the show.
