Got my tickets for Nathan and Matthew in The Producers — Page 2

That is the most disturbing quote I have heard lately! Ya...how would you like to be outside all winter...without those potato chips and not get any Producer tickets? Rude people.

i was just talking to someone i know in the city and he said that he walked by the st. james around 3pm today and that there were no people lined up with sleeping bags as seen in the ny post...
maybe the cops chased them off?

Amneris, I also saw it with Ray Willis, an understudy, and Stephen Webber. Willis was fantastic. But I would still like to see it with Nathan and Matthew. I tried for 48 hours and gave up. I have friends calling againg starting tomorrow.

Now, Roxy, I know you dislike the show, but I don't think there is a chance in hell THE PRODUCERS will close after N&M leave. Yet the powers-that-be have set a dangerous precident with the return of the dynamic duo. They are setting themselves up for what is likely to be a mammoth drop afterwards, and I honestly don't feel that Alexander/Short (if they can get them...and for what price?) will be half as potent a combo, nor would Zero Mostel if here were to come back from the grave. They have built themselves a bigger hole for the future. And I don't envy the actors - whoever they are - that have to follow N&M.

I am bemused by the absolute hysteria surrounding thier return. Individually - Nathan - Matthew and the show don't generate half to half the level of interest that the combination of the three do. I wonder if it is partially due to the fact that this season has (so far) offered so few shows to get excited over.

i doubt they would extend, but you never know. I do know that Mathhew is finishing up a movie (The Stepford Wives) and it seems like he'll go right into rehearsals for his return to The Producers. As for Nathan, he just finished a whole bunch of things, Trumbo, 2 films and 1 voiceover for the next Lion King. I don't know but I'd be pretty tired after that and plus Matthew still has baby James.
