Why is the sound quality of the West Side Story album so bad? They could have made it sound amazing

You're right, wickedrocks. I'm definitely jumping the gun, but ticket sales seem to be doing great (MUCH better than i had expected), and I have a feeling it will make back its investment. Of course, HAIR will recoup as well, but I hate the show so much that I'd rather not discuss it.

I do think that N2N deserves the Grammy this year...even over the Liza's at the Palace CD (and you all know how much I loved that show).

It would be great if the Grammy for Best Recording of a Musical actually went to the BEST RECORDING wouldn't it? Unfortunately, the popularity or other awards won by a show might affect the outcome of the award but shouldn't in my opinion. Then again, the Tony award for things like sound design, score, orchestrations etc. should also be awarded based on merit but that doesn't seem to be the case necessarily either...
