"Grease" revival

i posted this in the off-topic board as well, but....

i hear that the producers of the current non-eq national tour are planning to co-produce a bway revival of "grease" after the tour ends next summer....any other buzz?

I seriously doubt that will happen, seeing as the last production ended only 6 years ago.

I think the Grease revival was the worst example of stunt casting.

As I've stated before, Linda Blair worked her ass off with dancing and singing lessons and ended up to be quite a good Rizzo. Let's stop using her as an example of bad casting. There are plenty of others more relevant. Personally, I'd rather eat glass than ever hear Rosie O'Donnell sing again.

I could see Kerry Butler as Sandy. She is good at playing teenagers. I would love to see Matthew Morrison as Danny.

I was going to say something but then a soon as the words, Grease and Revival were put in the same sentence in my end I forget what it was. Oh well, there's nothing like a musical about the 50's that won't die to give you amnesia.

EW that is really wrong. I would of liked to see Sutton play Sandy and Hunter play Danny but not together.

I know Sutton played Sandy, but on the Revival CD Hunter sings "Mooning" which is NOT Danny's song. Unless he was a replacement for the first Danny...

"Mooning" is sung by Roger, which would make much more sense for Hunter.

Hunter was Roger in the original cast of the revival. He was also Danny's understudy. Im not sure if he ever took over for the part of Danny.

Sutton played Sandy the same time Hunter was understudying Danny. There was another understudy for Danny so luckily Sutton and Hunter never had to play opposite each other.
