I'm going to take a bunch of friends to see Great Comet before it closes, and I wondered if there were any performances that Denee Benton always skips. Would it be safer to attend on a Tuesday or a Thursday if I wanted to make sure she was performing? Or does she usually play every performance unless she's particularly wiped out one night?

About a week ago Shoba Narayan said she'd be on for Natasha either the 19th or the 20th.

No one skips performances on any regular basis, in any show unless they have an official alternate. Like in Hello, Dolly! Just like your job, performers have responsibilities (and contracts)

Thanks for the info. I'm actually looking at the following week, when Dave Malloy will be playing Pierre. Hopefully Denee will be on that same night.
Or maybe Phillipa Soo will make a surprise appearance. That would be pretty amusing, and pretty amazing. Let's start a rumor! ![]()

I would assume the cast would do all they could to make all the shows unless they had a previously planned absence

Dave Malloy won't be playing Pierre on August 22nd and evening August 30th.
Which is one of the dates I have a ticket for, was really looking forward to seeing Malloy... argh.
edit: has anyone seen both Dave and Scott's performance? Which one would be recommended? Trying to decide if I should attempt to switch dates or just watch it with Scott...

I have seen both and I honestly prefer Scott's. Love Dave's as well. The first time I saw it was with Scott and I suppose it'll be the last time too.

Nice. I only have seen Denee, and I have tickets for the 19th and 20th so I'll get to see them both. I really love Lauren's work when she's in the ensemble

Anyone know if any principals miss Saturday matinees semi-consistently/have announced they won't be on this Saturday for the matinee?
