Dear World
The Grand Tour
Mack and Mabel
Anyone Can Whistle

Does "Fade Out Fade In" counts as a flop?
Definitely Mack & Mabel
Fade Out Fade In even though Styne recycled some of the melodies into Hallelujah Baby.
J/H
Scarlet Pimpernel
Civil War
Seussical had some enjoyable songs.
I really enjoyed High Fidelity, but I don't know if that's a GREAT score. Same with The Wedding Singer.

Totally agree with Dear World. Does anyone else love "Garbage," "Kiss Her Now," and "The Tea Party"?
I forget that Merrily We Roll Along was a flop sometimes. "Franklin Sheppard Inc." is one of my favorite Sondheim tunes. LOVE that score.

Brilliant, all of them. The whole show is so very, very close to being wonderful, but it just misses the mark. Giraudoux isnt easy to adapt by any stretch, but they got oh so very close. Herman keeps saying he wants to give it another shot, and I wish he would.

I say this with great sadness, but Scottsboro Boys will go down as a great score in a show that was undone by public apathy. I place it right up there with Cabaret and Chicago and hope and pray future generations will have access to it.
my favorites:
Taboo
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Parade
Mack & Mable
Anyone Can Whistle
Steel Pier
Titanic

I agree with Merrily, Anyone Can Whistle, and Parade, and I'll also throw in Side Show and Titanic.

I loved the score to Rags. Judy Kuhn's performance at the tony's that year was great! Specially since she also performed that night with Les Miz.

Has there ever been a recording of ROCKABYE HAMLET? I saw it way back in the Dark Ages and dont remember much about it, save for the rather odd final duel.
Aah, I totally forgot about Rags! Love that score.
And yes, CockeyedOptimist2, Ragtime did flop...that's another one of my favorite theater scores.
