Very cool! Thanks for the article!
"The star-struck young women at the stage door, however, always seem to summon their loudest voices when they finally meet their Glinda. "The volume," Kassebaum exclaims. "It's like, I'm right here, I'm right in front of you — I hear ya!"
lol, amen! there's no need to scream like wild banshees when they come out of the stage door.
Thanks!!
man I miss the tour
I just don't get screaming for anyone. It reminds me of the tacky audiences on Oprah when she gives away free stuff.
Nice article. I am not one for standing at stage doors but I did for a bit last year at Wicked to try to get Menzel and Chenoweth's autographs on my program. I stood there for 5 minutes and decided it just wasn't worth it. The energy was pretty high when I got there and I didn't even want to be there when they finally came out!
haha "its not easy being green" i totally agree....its a long story...
I never scream for them when they come out! I think it's teeny bopperish..
I smile and say "Hi! you were very good!" or something like that..and then *politely* ask for a signature and if they don't look too busy or if I feel gutsy a photo :)
