I've seen quite a few B-way shows, and for the most part I haven't been disappointed. The only show I was, (not the actors fault) was Brooklyn (sorry to those who liked it). Mamma Mia was good, better than I expected but compared to the others i've seen, it didn't stand a chance.
But i'd agree with Composer 9, Light in the Piazza is probably one of the greatest shows in terms of quality, music, acting, direction etc, i've seen. It should have blown Spamalot out of the water with Best Musical!
