I think he will be back next month. His leave (due to injury) was 2 months minimum from late last month.

I can't imagine anyone else playing the father except Philip Whitchurch. Not only was he one hell of an actor, but he looked the part.

I saw the show shortly before Trent Kowalik departed and Whitchurch looked like he could be Trent's grandfather.

But I agree that he is one hell of an actor.
