Knowing that there is no stage door at the Walter Kerr... is there a good way to get autographs and photos with Christine?
Thanks
There is a stage door.....and Christine comes out, signs and poses most nights.
weird... heard there wasnt one...
where is it?
Right next to the theatre door...it's clearly marked. Mary Louise Wilson comes out another door....but Christine comes out the door marked "Stage Door."

97% of the time after an evening perf., Christine comes out, poses and signs autographs for EVERYONE who wants one. She always asks if everyone who wants them has them. Very gracious lady. After Sat. and Wed. matinees, it's a toss-up. She does sometimes come out, do the photo/autograph thing and then go back inside. Many times, she doesn't do this, though.
Mary Louise and John McMartin don't come out that door because they don't do the photo/autograph thing. (at least not with a lot of people there.) Ms. Wilson is very nice if you do get the chance to speak with her.
Good luck!

No, there is only one stagedoor. That doesn't mean it's the only exit from the theatre, though.
Both times that I've gone to a Wednesday matinee (the first being her birthday), Ebersole has signed and taken pictures with everyone.

i love Christine!
she even had the guy re-take my pic when i posed with her because it was lookin fugly. (i didn't know this was the case but she did.) that's my amazing Little Edie :)
No Mary Louise Wilson or John McMartin?
I've seen two matinees, on both Wednesday and Saturday, and Ebersole has signed after both.
Wilson, however, has never exited using the stage door.
Awwwww...I really want to meet Mary Louise Wilson. Maybe she will exit via the stage door after the final performance (whenever that will be).
She came out once out of the five times I've seen it and it was after a Saturday matinee. She was very kind and gracious and offered to take a picture with me because I was gushing about my adoration of the real big and little edie! lol Maybe if you drop a note by the stage door saying that you've wanted to meet her for a while...just an idea. Its worked for me in the past with some of the Drowsy cast.
I've seen Mary Louise Wilson sign once. She's really funny and nice if you get to talk to her.
When I asked Ebersole for a picture, my camera died almost instantly.
When I was there, I was lucky enough to catch John McMartin. But, according to Lou, Christine's driver and my then new best friend, Mary Louise Wilson almost never comes out that door and John McMartin is very rare.
BUMP... any more advice?
When I went (evening show) Christine came out and she was very gracious.
Erin, Matt, and Bob came out as well, but the way Matt and Bob signed was odd, they started at the front, then sort of skipped the middle, and went to the end. But they were all very nice.
MLW, John, and Michael Potts didn't come out, and the two little girls came out but didn't sign.
And the show was fabulous too!
I've seen the show several times and usually everyone comes out except Mary Lousie and John at night at least (I've never seen a matinee). There was only one time when Christine could not stay to sign. I've gotten autographs from and pictures with the rest of the cast (except the two girls). Sometimes the girls will sign it just depends on the day. They are all extremely nice and patient.
