Does anyone know if it is hard to get student rush or standing room tickets for Grey Gardens on a Saturday or Sunday matinee?
Also, I looked on talkinbroadway and it says that Beauty and the Beast has Standing Room only, does this show have a rush or student rush and its just not listed?

Grey Gardens rush is not hard. Both times I have been it has not sold out. You can get there close to show time and still get tickets.
I'm pretty sure BATB only has SRO, and they are pretty strict about when they will sell it.
I don't think it's hard to get student rush for GG, For the matinee on Saturday the tix go on sale at 10. I think standing room would be hard since it's not usually sold out.
As far as I know, BatB only has standing room and ONLY if they're sold out. Which, since it's almost always up on TKTS, I think it rarely is.

Granted I haven't done Grey Gardens since Jan, I dont think it's hard at all. I showed up about 9:15 and was the first person there. You could show up right at 10am and get Student Rush, from my own experience and what I've heard. I would get there early though, if I were you.
To my knowledge Beauty and the Beast does not have rush. Just standing room. I tried to see the show once and there were no student tickets.

It's more like... you could show up at 7 for the 8:00 show and get student rush. Unfortunately.

My friend and I did rush last Sunday. We passed the box office around 11 and no one was in line. We went back at like 11:30 and we were the 2nd pair in line. We got the aisle seats on the left side of center orch (113 and 114 i think?). The people in front of us got the seats to our right. People behind us came at like 11:45 and got left and right orchestra seats which are certainly more partial view.
Our view was perfect and we loved the show. We had Christine right in front of us for "another winter in a summer town" and most of "revolutionary costume".

NJgirl, I sat in that seat on the left end too. During "Winter/Summer Town" I could see the gold caps on Ebersole's molars. I got my ticket at about 11:30 that day for a Wednesday matinee, which I guess would be like getting your ticket at 5:30 for an evening performance.

I got to the box office at 1:15 for the 2:00 matinee on Wednesday, and got a ticket. I was all the way over to the side, but I got one.
This is great news for me, thanks everyone! I was hoping they were easy to get, because I am only in town for two days, and our bus dosent get in until noon and I wasn't sure if I could grab a ticket for the matinee on Sat - but now I know I most likely can!
Thanks again for all your help!
Is it only for students, or can anyone buy rush tickets with a valid id?
Students.

No sweat getting seats at the boxoffice and prices are specially reduced for lots of great seats until the Tonys.
GG for sure will get THE Tony as well as Christine. Tickets will then be impossible to get because the Walter Kerr is a relatively small house. Enjoy, it's seriously great.
Remember that you can only buy ONE ticket per student with a valid student ID.
Has it been any different lately?
I'm thinking of going tomorrow.
Also, how strict are they about the ONE ticket per ID policy?
You should be okay tomorrow if you're there when the box office opens, or soon after.
They are very strict about the one ticket per ID.
So I don't need to line up crazy early or anything?

What row are the rush seats in? (Long story.)
oh, man, i hate the "one ticket per ID". and, do you really think tickets will be hard after the tony's? i doubt it will change much...
What time does the box office open tomorrow?
And is it still easy to get student rush? For a Wednesday matinee?
