You can read really well too. Considering my name is L jay. Not I jay.
Thanks, but I took the SATs over a year ago. I am on my way to College, and will have a successful career.

Good luck, Ljay!
Awww, I miss the "Equity" signature that displaced the Gwen Verdon signature...

Thanks, Ray!
Haha. The equity signature will come back. I don't get attacked often on here.. so I thought I'd display the current attack on me from a member who clearly has it out for me.

Just out of curiosity, Theatreguy11, who are the actresses YOU would hire to replace these no names?
Seriously, I wonder who you think could replace Ebersole and Wilson and bring up the take at the BO AND keep the show dignified?

^ Haha. Ray. I had to bring back my sexy/provocative avatars. I'm known for them!

Posted: 7/1/07 at 10:35pmSeriously.. what "better known" actress could replace?
#32re: Grey Gardens goes Down with MLW?
Posted: 7/2/07 at 9:12pmI am still wondering who Theatreguy11 would cast. Melanie Griffith and Joan Collins, perhaps?

Sue, how about Melanie Griffith...and Tippi Hedren?

Posted: 7/2/07 at 9:28pmNow Tippi would be interesting because of her crusade against animal cruelty, but let's face it, nobody knows who the hell she is.

Posted: 7/2/07 at 9:30pmOf course it would add a great opportunity for Big Edie to start SCREAMING when Little Edie sings about the bird who flew away...

MELANIE GRIFFITH!?!? HA!
Now, I could see Angela Lansbury as Big Edia (Act 2).
But, that's futile now.

Posted: 7/4/07 at 12:30pmRe. the closing of GREY GARDENS compared to the closing of GYPSY with Ethel Merman: the original production of GYPSY with Merman ran for 702 performances(far longer than GG will have) and then Merman went immediately on a 6 month tour of the USA with the original production, although supporting players were not all original cast members. For that matter, the Angela Lansbury production of GYPSY closed when she left, and the same was true when Tyne Daly left GYPSY(although Linda Lavin, who was not particularly good, replaced Daly when she was on vacation), and when Bernadette Peters left her production. So, such a thing as shows closing when the original stars leave has been a frequent occurrence on Broadway through the years.
