I will be in NYC on Friday, October 27, and I wanted to know which one (of the two) I should see: Grey Gardens or A Chorus Line?
Thanks.

Grey Gardens
Saw original ACL & no desire to see this. Would rather see something new

I haven't seen either, but I'm more familiar with the story and music of ACL. Therefore, I'd prefer to see GG. I've seen the film, but I don't know much about the musical. I hope that helps.

Posted: 9/8/06 at 8:13pmGREY GARDENS if only for Ebersole. ACL will always be done somewhere.. GREY GARDENS is your chance to see the orginal Broadway Cast of a show that - even if it is not a success - will inspire curiosity for years to come.

Posted: 9/8/06 at 9:25pmI personally love the Line a whole lot, its one of my alltime favorites, but I'd go with GG- Ebersole is supposed to be fantastic. and i saw her performance on the drama desks, FAB. but definitely look into ACL too if you have time! its sooo good!

Posted: 9/9/06 at 12:00amWithout a doubt, Grey Gardens. If for no other reason than you can say you saw Ebersole's performance, which is sure to be legendary (if it is not already).

Posted: 9/9/06 at 12:08amI hear Christine's performance is up there with Laurette Taylor's in THE GLASS MENAGERIE, something which I wish I'd been privy (not to mention, old enough) to see.

ACL.
"Grey Gardens," while it does have a terrific performance by Ebersole, is a rather disappointing evening in the theatre.

Hey, I'm just saying.
The correct response to this question is BOTH. But if you have to choose, I'm saying ACL.

Posted: 9/9/06 at 9:23amThere really isn't anything "must see" about this production of ACL; it's really just a solid regional theatre remounting of the show. If you miss Ebersole, you'll regret it.

ACL... But Christine Ebersol is AMAZING (Haven't heard/seen GREY GARDENS yet, though

Posted: 9/9/06 at 10:14amI would have to say Grey Gardens. I just turned off that cd five min. ago and I love it. I really think it will be a wonderful evening.
