Does anyone know how the Grey Gardens rush is fairing lately? Any suggestions of what time to get to the box office for a Saturday matinee peformance? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Last Thursdsay i got there at 4:30 and got a ticket in the front row, almost center, so i guess it just depends. Such a great show, enjoy!
Wow, you got lucky, MossiDivo. It must have been a premium seat that was just released.
just out of curiosity which would you all think would have the better open seats Sunday mat. or Tuesday evening?
ahhh double post. my bad
Tuesday evening.
After seeing the enormous line at TKTS, we got to Grey Gardens at 3PM today and got front row. DEAD CENTER. In front of the (hot) conductor. It was pretty amazing. Not gonna lie.
Double Post --- woops!

So it's back in the front row? I thought they weren't doing that anymore.
I didn't think so either Ashley but when I bought my rush ticket today, they said they had a few front row seats and the rest were in the mezz and balcony. Unfortunatly, I got there at around 4:30pm for the 8pm show and got front row mezz. Either way, its still fantastic and I can't believe its really closing so soon...
Ash, babe, I think you can change your signature now.

I'm friends with the associate conductor. He thanks you for the... compliment. Three times over, apparently.
In any case, glad you enjoyed the show as well.

Eh. I am still a staunch supporter of it. I think I shall leave it until it closes. And then I'll change it to "Yes he does want sex with me."
How are the rush seats for the weekend? I want to see this show one more time before closing and can only do it on weekends?

My friend and I purchased student tickets at literally 1:55 today (well, yesterday) for the 2 PM show and got row C mezz, off to the side a bit. Great seats, and I think I enjoyed the show even more the second time around. I wasn't overly impressed with Davie the first time I saw the show, but I felt it was easier to draw connections from her performance to Act II's Little Edie having already seen the second half of the show before. Do they give out rear mezz for rush? How are those seats?

Well, I read that student rush is "best available," but realistically, that doesn't make sense considering I can't imagine they'd give out all of the good remaining orchestra seats to students when some "regular" people might still be looking to purchase tickets day-of. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I'd assume that they'd give out rear mezz tickets after giving out the front mezz ones. And with that theatre, I think as long as you avoid the actual "balcony," you're fine.
That balcony is a nightmare.
The rush will become harder and harder as the date comes closer.
Shall we call it the Company effect? (though I'm sure it's happened with many a show before, but seemed to be especially exaggerated with Company)
when is the show closing? I can't find a closing notice.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning I wandered by to see if I could see the announcement someone said was up at the theatre yesterday. I didn't see anything but the folding sign saying what the website says ~ but I didn't go inside or hang out long so I don't know if anything was inside or not. It was a little after 10 and there was no one there for rush(I was on my way to see Evening, but just took the subway one stop further out of curiosity.).
Something did occur to me this morning though. I wonder if the lack of anything official yet is intentional so as not to steal anything away from Company on its last day. Maybe a respect thing?
