Groundhog Day - TKTS or rush?

I have some teens who would like to see Groundhog Day tonight.  Assuming we don't win the lottery, has anyone bought through TKTS,  and how much were they?

BTW - I know there is a large range listed on the TKTS site - thanks.

TKTS are usually half price of regular ticket prices. Decide the general area where you want to sit and look up the costs of those tickets online. That should give you an idea of the price. With TKTS, you at least have a choice. Rush seats are usually what they give you at the box office.  I say try rushing it when the box office opens at 10 am and if the seats are not to your liking (i.e. Partial view or extreme sides), you can always go to TKTS in Times Square when they open at 2 pm.  Good luck.

Every time I've entered the GHD lottery, even when I didn't win (and I've won a few times) I was given a discount code to purchase tix.  Also, the lottery for each performance is held the day before, which can be very helpful if you're trying to figure out how to fit several shows into your schedule.

rush is cheaper and this show is bad, so spend as little as you can!

I would say check on the rush seats when the box office opens, but try TKTS later in the day before you purchase.  I met some folks who got 6th row center orch for 50% off at TKTS around 6pm.

It's a great show, they'll love it.

The show is wonderful, they will LOVE IT!  Yes, both have worked well for me.  The later you go to TKTS the better.   You will enjoy the hell out of it!

I agree with above - try rushing, and if the seats aren't great go to TKTS. I bought my seat at TKTS at 5:30pm and it was $91 for third row orchestra, fantastic seat.

Also if the lines are long at Times Square, the TKTS booth at South St Seaport. Shorter lines and a fun area to walk around.

The show is hilarious and wonderful, they'll definitely enjoy it! I'm actually going back with a friend next week.

So that means, for the rest of us, it is a must see.

I absolutely love the show but is it age appropriate for teens? I'm not THAT old (early 30's) but it is a little more adult than your standard show. I guess there's a big difference if they are 13 or 17. Maybe I'm just old and have no idea what is good for kids these days, ha.

As a teen, I've seen this twice with my younger sister and we both love it. Yes, it's slightly raunchy, but nothing unbearable.
