I have a couple slots open for my trip next week. Are these shows worth seeing? I'm also adding Bandstand to the list and already have tix for War Paint, Hello Dolly, Patti Lupone's concert.

I'd go with Groundhog Day simply because of Andy Karl. I think Sweat is a much better play than Groundhog Day is a musical, but I don't think there's anything special about this production of Sweat. I'm sure Sweat will be popping up in regional theatres for years to come, while this is probably your only chance to see Andy Karl in Groundhog Day, however, and he's excellent.
Depends on how you prioritize these things, however.

They're...not analogous or comparable in any way whatsoever. But asked straight which is a higher quality show, it's Sweat no question. Easy.

I have seen 14 shows in the last two and a bit weeks and Groundhog Day is in my top 3. I'd recommend it. Great musical with a terrific book. And Andy Karl is just amazing.

I haven't seen Sweat, but Groundhog Day is one of my favorite musicals this season, and Andy Karl's performance is a must-see. He's incredible!

Haven't had a chance to see Sweat but saw GD the other night and it was a very fun show. Loved the production, very cleverly done with an outstanding cast.
