Guessing Game

So once again my director is dropping hints about what next year's musical will be. I love to guess, so I was wondering if I could have some help.

The criteria is:
+well known composer
+popular show
+made into movie
+has has a revival

I was hoping it would be "Merrily", but it obviously isn't =(
Hoping it's Sweeney (if our school's morals don't preclude it).

Hopefully I'll get more clues

I don't know if Kander & Ebb are "well known". WE know them but how many people outside the theatre do? I don't think that many. Their SHOWS are pretty well known but their names not so much.

And it said composer not composerS which makes me think it's not a team.

Meredith Wilson, Sondheim maybe.

I usually think of composer as the one who writes the music, and then the lyrics are separate, but you make a good point about how well known the authors are.

Oh, I forgot to say that it isn't a show we've already done:
Oliver!, Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, George M (I hated it too, lol), Footloose, Chicago (unfortunately I wasn't there; it was our best show ever), Scarlet Pimpernel, Evita, Fiddler, Into the Woods, Clue etc.. Well known is like Sondheim, ALW, Herman, Rodgers and Hammerstien, and yes, Kander and Ebb. And I guess Menken... I'd rather not do Disney again though.
