The surprising part is that there's no Friday/Saturday exclusion. Otherwise, it's like any other half-price promo.
That's less than you'd pay to get into a high school production, which, from what I've heard, sounds about right...
The total of a full priced ticket plus a $7.77 ticket is about the same as what you'd pay for two tickets with the previous discount price.
They're taking in the same revenue (just using a different angle for a promotion.)

I saw it listed on Broadway Box as well. I did not check Playbill though.
the sad thing is i wouldn't even see it for 7.77. that's how much i hated it lol
how soon after the Tony Awards does this close?? I have yet to hear anything positive about this show.
My friend and his mom loved it, but they're both Lauren Graham fans, especially his mom, so that might have something to do with it.
Still, I didn't realize people had such unanimous problems with this production
Feb. 28 - Looped, Feb. 28 - Next to Normal, March 4 - Hair, March 11 - A Little Night Music, March 24 - Time Stands Still, April 6 - La Cage Aux Folles, April 10 - Anyone Can Whistle (City Center), April 10 - Looped, May 9 - Enron, May 15 - A Little Night Music, May 15 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Little Night Music, June 20 - A Little Night Music, June 23 - Red, June 23 - Sondheim on Sondheim, July 13 - A Little Night Music, July 18 - The Grand Manner (Lincoln Center)
I liked it too plus I heard it got better with time, especially Oliver Platt.
I think part of the problem is that many people on this board saw it in previews when it was under rehearsed. I think that was part of the problem with this production. When I saw it a week after opening it was doing really good and many of the problems people had with it I didn't notice. But I love the show in general. I saw seven shows that week and liked it better than West Side Story and the Lion King (wow, the acting was awful). But I thought it was better than West Side Story. Maybe the problem for me is I have seen an amazing production of WSS and Guys and Dolls this was my first time seeing it.
