Yeah. Saw this in London the other week. It was a fine production but not one that should necessarily come here. Rebel was Rebel and the audience was definitely there to see her do her thing (however unusual it was for an Adelaode interpretation!)

She's way too young for Miss Adelaide. I would love for a first-rate revival to come to Broadway with a first-rate comedienne like Jane Krakowski or Megan Mullally as Miss Adelaide. Rebel Wilson can wait.
There's a great thread that I'm too lazy to look up where a lot of us explain in detail what was so horrible about the last revival. And yes, Lauren Graham and Oliver Platt were absolute disasters in their respective roles.

There was an amazing one-night concert performance at Carnegie Hall two years ago with a great cast: Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, Sierra Bogess and Patrick Wilson. Now that's the cast that should do a revival! There are some clips from it on YouTube.

Rebel was awful. This is a bad Idea.
She played the character as a complete sex crazed idiot.
i legitimately thought that when she spoke, she was attempting to make Adelaide mentally handicapped.
