Am so excited - have 2nd row Orch seats for tomorrow's matinee but a friend of mine just said I'll see understudies as the stars don't perform in Wednesday aft performances!! I told her she's crazy and I will be very disappointed if that's the case. Has anyone been to Gypsy's Wednesday matinee and can confirm for me that my friend is crazy!
No only Christine in Phantom and Frankie in Jersey boys have Matinees off. They need to rest their voices. Patti is never out except once.
When?

Thank you! Now I can really look forward to tomorrow.
Between now and Tony time you have the greatest luck of seeing her (or any other Tony nominated star). I always come to NYC during this voting period and never miss a lead, especially if they're up for an award. Lupone would probably go on if she was sick as a dog, just in hopes of getting the Tony (which she will).
YES. I always see matinee shows, and I saw Miss Patti. She rarely miss a performance unless she's really sick or stuck in CT. She's a trooper! and yes...she gives 110% on matinees!
