I have an OBC recording of Gypsy, on a record. It is in mint condition, but I'm not into selling it. I was thinking about having Patti sign it when I see the show. It is the Ethel Merman rendition.

Why, in Heaven's name, would you even think of getting Patti to sign Merman's recording? Patti had nothing to do with it and he was a mere child when that version of the show was playing on Broadway.

Your idea is absolutely foolish.

It is kinda odd but I'm sure Patti will sign it...whatever floats your boat. Was there a question though or were you just asking for feedback on the idea...?

I was just asking for feedback. No need to get so nasty. I'm just interested in what I should do with it and peoples opinion.

Shunterk, I think it's a cute idea to have Patti sign it...and I am sure she will. I saw her sign vintage Gypsy scripts that had the original show artwork on the cover. I am sure she would be happy to sign it. I am sorry you were treated so rudely on here...it's a shame some people feel compelled to attack everything people say. best wishes to you!

...It's PATTI. I love her, but are you sure she wouldn't just stare at you, say "I wasn't in that" and move on?
