Nathan Lane would be a great Uncle Jocko and I agree with whomever put forward Dove Cameron as Dainty June.  I think Anna Kendrick would be a good choice for Gypsy.  As far as Herbie, it depends on who plays Rose but I could see Bradley Cooper in the role, though I doubt that would happen.

For Herbie, I just want an actor who understands that Herbie isn't a "throwaway" role.

Elsie Fisher and Brie Larson as young and grown-up Louise, please. Paul Giamatti as Herbie would be great.

This is off topic..however it is about GYPSY. I recently read Arthur Laurents book...in it he told a little about what the real Rose was like. Firstly in real life there was no 'Herbie'. The scene in the hotel room where there are 5 boys..with the hotel manager ... in real life she pushed the hotel manager out of the window where he fell to his death. She claimed it was self defense . When Gypsy was a success Rose and Gypsy held Lesbian parties where they charged admission. Late in her life Rose had a farm. The farm work was done by attractive women. Rose murdered a man who was suing her. She buried the body on the farm...sometime later the girls discovered when digging, the body .

Brie Larson would be wonderful for Louise, and yes the real life counterparts to Gypsy are quite darker.

I'm thinking some old school actress stunt casting could work wonders for the strippers. How about a Witches of Eastwick reunion.

Alternativelly Goldie Hawn could work too in one of the parts.

Ive heard that Barbra is still attatched as producer so perhaps she still has people in mind she'd like to appear in the film. Daisy Ridley was heavily rumoured as was Tom Hanks and John Travolta at one point. We might still see some of those names attatched because of her involvement.
