I saw it in person tonight.
It's HIDEOUS.
All blurry and dark.
The entire block is navy blue. Navy blue XANADU marquee right behind the blurry navy blue PATTI LUPONE GYPSY marquee, across the street from the navy blue SPAMALOT marquee.
The doors are this cheap looking red curtain wallpaper.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Big or small, really $#!+eous work.
And hopefully they knew how to do perspectives well. The shadows, the placement of "At last...," and all that jazz.
A "marquee" would have been better with something to the tradition of Merrily We Roll Along or the former Tony Awards poster.
