Gypsy seating advice
Gypsy seating advice#1
Posted: 9/16/08 at 7:08pmI'm looking to get a ticket for Gypsy next month and the best I can find is Orchestra F 15. Is that a good view/sight line or should I go with Mezzanine B 9 Thanks for your input

Posted: 9/16/08 at 7:10pmFrom what I understand, the stage is elevated fairly high, but in row F you should be far enough back to have a problem. However, I have seen it from front row mezzanine and mid-balcony and thought both views were great. Mezzanine B actual puts your fairly close to the stage.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!

Mezzanine. Definitely.
But yeah, there is NO legroom.

I also have a seating question...
I've never sat in the balcony for Gypsy, and I have to get tickets for a friend in the balcony ("cause it's the cheapest"). Would they be better off with Row A of the balcony or the last row, Row H.
How are the sightlines? I know a lot of stuff takes place downstage, so is that going to be a problem? Do you miss anything?
So... Row A or Row H?

re: Gypsy seating advice#7
Posted: 10/24/08 at 9:23amI know that would be the best bet, but I won't be in the city that day and the person who is going isn't a student and wants to get them in advance.

What is the deal with the Mezzanine legroom? Sometimes when you're crunched its also super steep so the sightlines are good, is that the case here? Thanks, I've never been up there but I have seats in G coming up.
Legally- are you going on a day that the discount works? the back of the Mezz is $65 with that. I'm not sure if that would be much better than the balcony though. Again, you could be totally confident getting student rush tickets on the sides of the orchestra 2 minutes before curtain, if you can convince your buddy to wait.

I agree with student rush. (If you are a student)
If not, then Mezzanine Row B 9.
legally_popular--I would go with Row A.
