friedrichVT, Phoenix Entertainment is doing it. so yes, non-Equity.

they're also doing the RING OF FIRE tour next year as well.

Yes, it's non-union. Wish they could go back in time and erase the most recent revival so Lupone could do it on Broadway.

Wow, I saw Kathy Halenda in the NETs of Oliver! and 42nd St. way back. What a powerhouse talent. She'll be wonderful as Mama Rose.

Bedazzler - The publicity shots on that website do not feature Kathy Halenda as Mama Rose. I don't know who that woman is. If you look at the bottom of the photos, it says that the photos are courtesy of the Prather League of Theatres, which is a well-known dinner theater chain around the country. Kathy has never worked for Prather, so I can almost guarantee that it is not her in the pictures. They probably won't do PR shots for quite some time for this new tour cast.

I apologize for the error and thank you for correcting me, JasonM12480.

I did see Prather listed at the bottom of the photo, but just assumed that it was atleast Ms. Halenda since it was not Ms. Dowse in the photo. Guess I assumed wrong!

I was confused when I saw that there was a link TO publicity pictures as they still have quite a few months before they even go into rehearsal for the tour! So, I agree, publicity photos won't be around for a while yet.

I agree - it makes little sense to me why they'd use PR shots of another production for their tour. Although, I guess, something is better than nothing, right?

I will be seeing Ms. Halenda this evening, actually, so I will see what "scoop" I can gather from her on what she knows about the tour, photos, etc.

Spoke with Kathy recently - she's already aware of the Broadwayworld.com buzz about the upcoming tour! She sent me her press kit (also available on her website, www.kathyhalenda.com), and so far, these are the only photos she has - her two headshots, and one photo of when she played Mama Rose before in regional theatre, several years ago. Hopefully new photos will surface in the coming months. More info to come as it becomes available!

The tour is scheduled to play The Lexingotn Opera House in Lexington,KY March 28-30, 2008.

I saw it on Oct. 21st, Kathy was amazing. The costumes weren't the revial ones. Here is a pic of Kathy:
