Josh Lamon took his twitter to announce the news that he will be going on the tour as Margaret Mead/Dad.
Hopefully this is the beginning of the announcement. I would expect an announcement soon for the whole cast.
Apparently Dee Snider's son Jesse Blaze Snider has a role in it. I'd imagine Claude.
forgive me...who?
Son of Dee Snider. The guy from Twisted Sister.

Source on the Jesse Blaze Snider casting?
According to Playbill.com - NIcholas Belton, who understudied the role Berger in the final B'way company will also be on the tour.
"Belton's credits include the recent revival of Hair and the upcoming national tour of that Vietnam War-themed musical."

My daughter's hoping Jay Armstrong Johnson plays Claude.
I wonder if the houses on tour will allow the onstage dance party at the end of the show?
I bought tickets to opening night of the tour the other day in New Haven.... I can't wait for the official announcement.

wndilin, how is that theater in New Haven, I am thinking of making a trip up there, not sure if I should drive or take the train from NY.
Personally I think Jay was a better Claude then Kyle (Kyle has talent but did not do Claude's character justice, IMO)
Will be interesting to see who else from the B'way & London casts will be joining the touring cast.
Nicholas Belton could still be an understudy, or any other number of roles. There is no indication to whom he is playing.
Jay A Johnson was beautiful in the role. His youthful appearance adds a dimension that was missing from even the wonder Gavin Creel.

Luv2go-- I LOVE the Shubert. Its a wonderful little theatre. Small, intimate, beautiful. I've seen many shows and concerts there and never had a bad seat before. I recommend taking the train--its so easy (I do the reverse trip when I make my way into NYC) And it's a super short cab ride from the train station to downtown area. HAIR is actually coming to CT twice and I can't imagine going to see HAIR in a huge venue like the Bushnell in Hartford. Which is a typical touring house. The Shubert on the other hand is a lot more like Broadway houses.
And I'd love for Jay A. Johnson to join the tour. I've heard nothing but wonderful things about him.

Thanks Wendilin, I think I may just do that. I was reluctant when I saw that the the Shubert housed more seats then the Hirschfeld and was not sure about the area & transport to get there.

Nick will be playing Berger twice a week (I think the matinees).
I would think it would depend on the venue to determine if the dance party happens. Every area and has different codes.

i can't imagine why the role of Berger would be split between two actors. It's not a vocally or physically demanding role.
addicted what is your source?

Jesse Snider tweeted something to the effect of "I just met with some folks in NYC regarding the Hair national tour."
I was thinking maybe Claude too, but he seems more of a Berger. Or even Woof. I guess if he does Claude at least he has the right haircut :)
It would be great to see Jay Johnson play Claude though.
I can't wait to hear who the rest of the cast is!! Hope to see it here in D.C.
Too bad there's no TKTS stand for the Kennedy Center.
I'm really hoping for Paris Remillard to be on the tour, and preferably as Claude. I saw him go on for Kyle the last time I saw the show, and I honestly thought he was almost better than Gavin -- and I thought Gavin was a dream.
Jay replied to me a couple hours ago on Twitter, he said he won't be playing Claude but Paris might.
I'd love to see Paris as Claude. I convinced my sister to go with me when it comes to L.A.
Karennnn.....you can join the Kennedy Center's "attend" program on your website if you are under a certain age (i think 30?) and they offer special discounts for shows that aren't sold out. I doubt Hair will be able to sell out every show in the Kennedy Center's opera house so the discounted tickets will probably be available. Also, the balcony seats are around $35-40 which isn't too bad.
Allison Guinn is going to be playing Mom Bukowski/Buddaharilama.
