She is. She's Crissy.
Steel Burkhardt is almost definitely Berger, Paris Remillard is Claude, and Matt Deangelis will be Woof. John Moauro is also going on tour.
Emily Raver Lampman who is a senior at Marymount Manhattan College just booked the tour.
Any chance Allison Case could be touring? It's a long shot, but she's the one I would most want to see.

Caren Tackett (formerly Caren Lyn Manuel) is going to be Sheila on the tour, she announced it on her facebook. I loved her back when the show was in Central Park.
Steel Burkhardt is almost definitely Berger
Really? 'Cause I'm pretty sure one guy who definitely isn't Steel even took the trouble of announcing his casting in a bio for another project. I think he's on the first page.
I heard Hannah Shankman will be Sheila, but I would rather Caren Tackett!

rehearsals start monday, so I'd expect an official announcement sometime next week .
Paris Remillard is Claude. Steel Burkhardt is Berger. Katie Kiyan is Crissy. Kacie Sheik is Jeanie. Josh Lamon is Dad/Margaret Mead.
Can't wait! Have tickets for opening night in New Haven!!!

That's great news about Kacie Sheik. She was the best part of the show.
WTF re Nick Belton vs. Steel Burkhardt as Berger?

Finally. Geez!!!
I'm thrilled. Good cast, and I'm so happy to finally get to see some of the originals. Didn't make it to NYC in time before the hippies went to London.
Katie Kayian and Calian Rose are like twins though. It'll be like two Crissies!!!

Just got back from the dress rehearsal ... overall the show is strong and Paris and Steel own the show - love Caren but she's a bit too old to be playing Shelia. There were some shaky parts, walking in space needs work.
I'll be going to opening night tomorrow and will post more after the show
any idea who the understudies are?

there were no playbills given out i'll check that out tomorrow. i know joan marcus is going to New Haven over the weekend to shoot photos. worth mentioning Paris cut his hair - he wears a wig during the show and debuted his short locks tonight!

Just got home...and wow. The energy was probably one of the most palpable that I have been at the show for. The audience was loving it and there was a 2 minute applause after Hair. The dance party at the end was moving and incredible. Everyone on stage joined hands (at least on my side) and were loving every second. The cast's energy was great too and they all gave it 150%.
It was my first time seeing Paris as Claude and he was incredible. His Where Do I Go was so moving... might have been my favorite Claude (shh. Don't tell Gavin!!)
Again, also first time seeing Steel's Burger. He was just the right mix of comedy and naiveness/immaturity. He wasn't over the top like others I've seen, and there was a sense of vulnerability with him too. I can't exactly articulate it but I was super impressed with him.
Kacie Sheik might have been the standout....I love her Jeanie. Katie Kaiyan had a beautiful voice. I loved her Frank Mills.
The only person I wasn't blown away with was Caren as Shiela. She had a beautiful voice but I'm not sure it was right for Sheila. I had a hard time buying her at points.
i forget her name and I put my playbill away, but the woman who played Dionnne....wow her voice just filled that theatre. She gave me goosebumps from the beginning and during the acoustic of the Let the Shine In.... Incredible.
I had to stop myself from buying tickets for another night this weekend. I'd much rather see it again here than at the Bushnell in Hartford (which is a HUGE house). But who am I kidding... I'm sure when it rolls around in May I won't be able to resist.
Great performance tonight. Everyone has a lot of energy, but Caryn is quite the let down. Steel and Paris are brilliant.
How are the sets? I know the Broadway set was built off of what was already in place at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre so they would have to do something different for the tour.
