now.
damn i missed it. what did they do?
They did "Aquarius." After he massacred West Side Story, Tyce Diorio actually did a really good job with this.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. And although I hate his attitude, Brandon really is a spectacular dancer.
awww, I don't think Brandon has attitude!!! But I agree, this is one of Tyce's better routines. He's really hit and miss with the B'way stuff.
so good! didnt joey dowling do the wss number this season? tyce did 2 west side story combos during vegas week auditions.
how many evan fans are out there? i love him!!
I missed a few weeks, I know he did the WSS numbers I saw and they were AWFUL.

Can someone post a link when it's up? I don't watch the show, so I have no idea who or what to search for besides "So You Think You Can Dance".
I think that was my favorite broadway number
Love Mel and Brandon. I hope they are the final two, after that, I'll be fine with either one winning. The number was pretty kick butt as well.

That seemed rather...disjointed?
Plus I am not a fan of that Tyce guy. He is SO arrogant, as seen in that Chorus Line documentary, Every Little Step. I don't think he's that great of a choreographer.
I'm not familiar with this show, really, but all I know is that if that had been on Broadway as actual choreography, people would've been laughing, not cheering. Though, maybe that's not what they were going for, but whatever. Maybe that's how all the stuff is with the show. It just didn't seem to even go along with the song at all.
It was very... decent? They danced it well, and the choreography was somewhat good, but a. the song really doesn't lend itself to sharp choreography and b. Tyce couldn't choreograph his way out of a paper bag.
While I enjoyed it, I don't think the choreography should have been classified as "broadway". I don't think it would not have appeared on a b'way stage.

I agree...usually I don't think the "broadway" numbers have much of a Broadway style, they just use numbers from musicals

Wow. If I saw that at the Hirshfeld, I think I would have been like, WTF?

I agree, the coreopraphy(sp?) seemed too 'ballerina-like'. Aquarius(sp?) needs to have more aquatic feel to it.
I agree if I had seen that choreography in the show I would've gone "WTF?", but I thought it worked well as a stand alone number.
I liked how even though it was kinda "ballet-like", it was still really sexy. Even though they didn't use my favorite part of the song ("Harmony and understanding...").
Not sure if I like Aquarius for that style of dancing.
I have to agree with dancinthrulife04. Out of the context of the show, the piece was performed well; however, the choreography wouldn't be appropriate for the show.
This Tyce guy is a joke. There was hardly anything original in that piece. That was a bad re-hashing of the Twyla choreography for the movie. Laughable.
