Do you think Hedwig will still be on for the Fall? Would there have been some announcement by now if it was coming... I was hoping for it to be around when I come in October, but that looks very unlikely now

Posted: 7/3/10 at 2:45pmI always liked this show, but is there really an audience for it on Broadway?

I know this is completely crazy, but what if Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and Hedwig ran in rep at one theater? They could definitely create a unit set for both. I think they're going toward the same audience.
Andrew Jackson played a 9:30 PM show on Saturdays during The Public run, and Hedwig could definitely be a late night show.
Just dreaming, but it's an idea...

I am 99% sure that they want Hedwig to run on the normal 8 show a week course and change the plot to surround Hedwig's "one night only performance on Broadway." There were talks of adding additional characters to the stage production (Tommy Gnosis for one) and take it in slightly different directions.
There's that 1% of me that could be completely wrong, though. :)

I think John Cameron Mitchell is a little too established to be doing late night shows. I'm pretty sure he'd be having none of that.
That being said I pray Hedwig comes to Broadway in any incarnation.

I could see that happening in the reprise of Wicked Little Town.

I haven't heard anything to the contrary so I'm assuming it's still on.
Who knows though, the new season is crazy crowded, and as we all know it's notoriously hard to predict how things will pan out this early.
But man I HOPE HOPE HOPE it happens!!!
