This is an insanely silly question but yesterday on Record Store Day, I bought the only copy of the exclusive pink HEDWIG vinyl that my local record store had. Apparently, only 4000 copies were made and it was just for yesterday.
I'm not sure if I should open it. Would leaving the vinyl unopened make it more likely to accrue any sort of value in the future?

It is my understanding that the initial pressing was for RSD for a nice treat, but the pink vinyl will be made available for general release shortly after.
