No. Jai's only played Angel in the Broadway company.
And Canada if you count understudying...
umm excuse me?
My words can only be expressed in the 2003 Todd Graff film "Camp" The kids are at lunch when one of the kids is being a bitch.
and scene:
I think I've met your sister, Cinderella.
Jai was not the understudy in Toronto. He was Angel. And got great reviews too.
It was when he joined the New York cast he went in as the understudy.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
so does anyone know why it lists him for the London production on here?
Because someone messed up?

Jai was cast as Angel with the Canadian cast a few months after graduating from high school. He played the role for the entire Canadian run and received excellent reviews. He's the youngest castmember to ever be cast in one of the lead roles. When the Canadian run ended in Nov. '98, he returned home to New York and shortly after that, joined the Broadway cast as a swing. He remained a swing until March of 2002, when he assumed the role of Angel. He left in February 2003 for Zanna, Don't, returning a few times after that for short runs. He was never in Rent in London. The only castmember from the Canadian cast to be in the show in London was Krysten Cummings.
