I just have to give a HUGE congrats to my friend Emily for being cast for her BROADWAY debut!!!!! You probably don't know her which means u may not care but here's the deal.... after graduating from amda a year 1/2 ago, she went on the non-equity tour for cats - got back over the summer - busted her way through an EPA call for Grease and just found out she's been cast as not only a swing but also understudying Patty Simcox AND SAANNDDDYYY!!!!! way to go on nailing the LEAD understudy...awesome for a broadway debut you think?! HORAY!!! i'm very excited :) can't wait for my turn!

For some reason, I thought that the understudy for the leads would be the runners up on the TV show. We'll see how it plays out!

I bought a bunch of 1930's theatre programs and the woman who collected them made notes on the cover. She was attending The American Academy of Dramatic Arts at the time and wouldn't you know it? EVERYONE she mentioned as being classmates going to the shows with her is listed in IBDB.

Hope your friend and you can say the same thing in a few decades. Break a leg...
