I saw the play yesterday, May 26, at 7pm. Sitting in second to last row in mezzanine made the show just ok for me. I needed to be in the orchestra for this play. I missed that feeling of being drawn in. Perhaps if the actors looked up, I’d have a different experience? I don’t know.
I bought mezzanine tickets on Today Tix for $59 (supposedly 46% off of the regular price). I ended up in rear mezzanine row F center (seat 113). With the $12.50 service charge, my seat was $72.50. I wish I had gone to the TKTS Booth instead. There were lots of available orchestra seats on Telecharge up to an hour before the show. I could’ve gotten orchestra seats on TKTS for about what I paid on Today Tix. I couldn’t make it to the TKTS booth until 5pm and was afraid tickets would be gone by then so I bought on Today Tix.
(On the other hand, I bought a ticket for Company on TKTS and got 5th row orchestra center (row C). It was too close for me. The musical was great but my experience would’ve been better farther back like on rows M to P where I could see the full stage and moving parts in one view instead of turning my head from side to side.)
