HP Cursed Child Cast Schedule

Hey there! Does anyone know if there are any planned absences or vacations for the Cursed Child leads before their final date in March? Mostly for Jamie Parker and Anthony Boyle. I want to take someone to see if before the cast switches out.

Since no names are above the title (afaik) it might not info actually published.  (Sometimes it is, though.)   A better predictor would be finding out if they have ALREADY take vacations.   Good luck.

Anthony Boyle has take two vacations already in July and November so who knows. Usually he does not miss so vacation wise I dont think he would not take another one before they leave. But you never know about them being sick. He missed his last performance in London because of illness so you never know. I think Jamie has been on vacation as well but he has also missed a day here and there not sure if that was planned or he was sick. But I have seen each of there understudies and they are fanastic!

I was hoping to see Anthony Boyle, but it seems he has been out of the show for this week (Feb 6-9) so far. Does anyone know if this was a planned vacation? Or when he is supposed to be back before the original cast departs in March?

None of the cast's planned absences have been publicly announced ahead of time. I suspect Anthony will be back on Wednesday 2/13, and will be in for all shows until 3/17.

I thought it was March 20. March 17 is the last performance of the British cast.

This is a weird question, but if there is an understudy in Part 1 will the same understudy go on in Part 2 for consistency?  Or if the original actor is better will they just go back on for Part 2?  I feel like it would be weird to see one character suddenly looking and sounding completely different in the next part, but I have to imagine it does happen.

When I saw a Thursday/Friday show, Benjamin Wheelwright (James) was out the first night but back in the next night. I think for the lead characters it’d be a different story.

The main performer goes on for as many performances as possible. Consistency for the sake of the audience is not a factor.

I heard that if one of the main 7 is out for Part One they have to be out for part two. For ensemble members I have had them be out for one part and be back for the other. It honestly just depends. I don’t think it happens a ton but it has happened before.

Finally get to see the show next week and can’t wait! Really want to get to see Anthony Boyle in this role but two friends saw the show this week and said he was out (left show midway on Wednesday and out today). Does anyone know what’s going on? Assuming sick and don’t want to speculate too much just eager to see him and the rest of the original cast.

I’m here Sunday 3/10... no Anthony. But I don’t think it’s sickness seeing that he’s been seen at other shows instead of performing (everyone needs a break). I really hope the entire cast is there for their last show on 3/17! But honestly I’m not sure at this point

What do you mean he has been seen at the theatre but not performing? Who has said that? Why would someone go see the show if they should be performing in it. That makes no sense. If he needs a break that’s fine but if he is taking a break I don’t think he would be watching the show.

No, I said he’s been seen at other shows, sorry that was kind of confusing. I saw a different show Saturday and he was in the audience. :) he is sick, I talked with some cast & others yesterday and they are hoping he will be back for the last few shows, but it’s not likely :/ he has bad luck with getting sick at the end of his shows for sure!
