which year did he win for? was it this last year or for when he won, because i would think it would be the more recent one but they showed a clip from 2004, whatever,congrats to him!

He won for 2004's ceremony. Also known as the "Idina Year."

He was terrible this year and I hope he's replaced.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to give an Emmy award to the host of another award show. If they insist on that type of thing they should have "Best Award Show Host" as a category. As winning a personality as I think Hugh is, why should he compete with somebody who did his show four nights a week in such a consistent and pretty much groundbreaking way as Jon Stewart did this past season? Just comparing the two is insane, but Jon worked much harder and better.

You could tell she was lip syncing by the way she would stop mouthing the words when a dancer would lift her into the air. One of the times she completely closed her mouth and she was still "singing."

And the "singing" wasn't very good.
