this made me want to go see the show again, is the current cast worth a trip back?

Definitely worth a trip back before they leave at the end of the month

In my opinion Daniel Breaker alone is worth the trip back. But the rest of the cast is too haha.
Im not sure any show has ever had as stellar casting for replacements as this one.

I just checked the site- surprised so many people are leaving at the end of this month.
Also interesting that 2 of the new leads will be White - the first white Hermes I believe? I wouldn't have necesarrily noticed but with all the maybe happy ending debates...
Levi Kreis was Hermes on tour. Not sure if he ever popped into Broadway or not, but as much as Hermes is “old black man” coded just as a trope, it’s not explicit that the role is a person of color.

Well... "old black person" since women have also played the role on Broadway.
Either way I'm thinking about heading back just to see Daniel again - he was that good.
I'd go back next month just to see Kurt Elling's Hermes & Rebecca Naomi Jones's Persephone.

the role was also originated by a white man off broadway. regardless, I think the show has such flexible casting, there can be an ebb and flow as long there is a continued balanced diversity.

I was referring more to the story trope than just to the casting; we’ve had Asian Hermes as well.
