Hello fellow Broadway Fans! I truly hope that you are all having a wonderful Friday.
My partner and I are extremely fortunate to have been able to afford a theater subscription to see the following shows (some for the first time or must-watch repeats):
Those tickets are locked in. If we stretch our budget, we could attend one of the following:
My question to you all: which of the three would you recommend and why? My partner wants to see Mean Girls (I'm not super jazzed to see it, though I'm sure it's great). We both watched a few trailers for OKLAHOMA, but the storyline / ballad seemed a little too slow for us (though R&H's King and I, I loved, so I know it has to be a great show). Hadestown is a classic.
What would you all recommend? And, the other option is since we are seeing 7 shows (I didn't include one because I do not consider it Broadway), we could always catch it on next year's circuit so that we are not overwhelming ourselves.
Thank you for your time!
I would go with Hadestown or Oklahoma. I would give Hadestown the slight edge, though. I'm very excited to see how both of these shows tour and what modifications or alterations will be made to the scenic designs to accommodate the larger touring houses.

You are all making this an easy sell, and I appreciate it more than you know!
Calling to inquire about tickets right now (not the best seats available since it is soon and very popular), but I bet any seats are good seats to see this show.
Thank you all!
EDIT: Hadestown tickets ordered!

I'd pick Hadestown. I enjoyed Mean Girls but then again one of my former students was s principal. Oklahoma! was the only Broadway show I ever walked out of in 48 years of theatre going. I didn't care for the whole concept but I only went to see it for Ali Stroker in her Tony winning role. She was out and the tall leggy dance captain went on for her. She couldn't have been more wrong for the role. The fact that she looked a lot like Laurey made it confusing.
I wonder how they will stage it for the tour. I loved Fun Home at Circle in the Square but didn't like the tour staging at all.
I just wanted to add that the Broadway cast of Oklahoma! was just incredible. I don't know if it can be replicated on tour but anyone who sees it please tell me if the chemistry and excitement is still there. I am very curious.
Again, enjoy all the shows!
