I just got my bus tickets through Broadway Impact to attend the March. Many thanks to Gavin Creel and everyone at Broadway Impact for making this trip possible. Anyone else from here going?

this has been known for some time now. And they added a show on Monday, Oct. 5 to make up for the no show on Sunday.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Well it has been posted before (regarding them canceling and rescheduling their performance), but this is the first time I am hearing about them singing. I wonder what they will perform. "Let the Sunshine In," perhaps?

I no longer have a place to stay for the March, so I cannot afford to attend. re: Hair Cancels October 11 Show To March On Washington & Sing On Stage At

CapnHook - I think the buses that are sponsored by Broadway Impact are leaving at 6am and coming back to the city that evening. No overnight accommodations necessary.

Hun, I'm in Greensboro, NC. But thanks. :-P

I was originally going with three friends, but all three canceled. I still have a hotel booked which I will have to cancel next week if I don't find three replacements. And then I have to find a way to get to DC on the cheap side, too. Airfare and train too expensive.

I even contacted Equality NC and other local organizations and they're not even GOING to the March!! I'm very disappointed.

Oh I'm sorry - I figured since we people were talking about the buses from here you were here for some reason.

In theory, you could still go and come back in the same day.

Well I am sure I am in the minority but I have a bit of a problem with them cancelling a show to attend a march. That is unless they didn't sell tickets to the Sunday show already. If so, I would be upset that the show I was to attend was cancelled. What if some people can't attend the Monday show?

As ACL said, this has been known for a long time. A couple months, at least. I am not sure if they had already sold tickets for the date by the time they decided to cancel, but it's not like they suddenly decided to cancel a sold-out show to "attend a march" (way to diminish the impact, by the way).

If anyone did have tickets to the Oct. 11 performance, they have had PLENTY of notice to reschedule.

ETA: Just looked it up. They announced the cancellation on July 13. They had already been selling tickets for that date, but people have had three months to exchange for a different date.

^^ even earlier than the July announcement, Telecharge was letting people know back in June that the Oct 11 performance was being canceled, this post was the first time I heard about it-

Aka you were supposed to go to the October 11th performance, right?

To be fair, people were given sufficient notice. If you can't attend the Monday night show, you can't. The number of people who couldn't reschedule in the end is probably a small number, especially with the advance notice. They could have just not had a Monday night show. But the show did the best they could to accommodate as many as they could.

If the producers felt it would have been a huge problem, they may not have gone forward with it. Eustis felt comfortable enough to go through with it, especially since the event fits in with the show's theme.

Yero, I wasn't trying to diminish anything. The title of this thread calls it a march and it is called an Equality March. What was I supposed to call it? It is good that they gave notice. I usually buy tickets a few months in advance and would have been upset if I had planned to see the show on that date and couldn't. Especially since I have to fly halfway across the country. This is just my opinion, but I am not for cancelling a show to attend this event. And I am gay. I am not pushing for gay marriage but I am surely not against it. Again, just my opinion.

I know it's a march, but for some reason, the way you said "attend a march" sounded to me as if you were implying it's some frivolous thing compared to a musical performance.

Besides, they are not just attending. They are performing.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It's hard to infer tone on a message board and your wording just struck the wrong chord with me.
