Last I heard it's not happening anymore. I hope that's still the case!

If it happens, then please, no John Travolta!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

When I did a master class with John Waters he seemed only slightly enthusiastic about it. I think he was more excited they even let him be part of it and submit a treatment.

"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999

I would watch it if there were one, but I don't really think it is a great idea. Same with the Mamma Mia! 2 rumors. I don't want it to end up having a "Grease 2", if you know what I mean. I would watch it and buy the soundtrack and stuff if it was happening. It just seems like the story from the first movie ended off on a good high note and doesn't even NEED a sequel.

Completely agree with jacobschnz14!!! I mean, I'd probably watch it, even though I think it'd be terrible when there isn't even a musical to base a movie off of. I hate the idea of sequels to movie musicals when there isn't even a sequel to the musical itself. Now, if LOVE NEVER DIES is as successful as I'm hoping it would be (as equally successful as PHANTOM), that's one that I would actually be really interested in seeing.

Jeezbee: @adammshankman Seeing your reply... Does that mean HS2 is officially dead? It would be great if you could clarify so ppl can let go. Thanks.

Adammshankman: @jeezbee new line decided it was best to not go forward. All of us involved agreed, though we loved ideas. Hey, nvr say nvr. Just 4 now.

I think that an Avenue Q movie would be more possible if it just closed on Broadway instead of going to New World Stages? Is it still going good there?

How would it play on screen? Like a Muppet movie or like how it is on stage? That's the only thing I see confusing about an Ave. Q movie.
