Entertainment Tonight will reveal which actress has been cast as Tracy Turnblad in New Line Cinema's Hairspray today. You'll also get to see her reaction as she is given the news by the film's director, Adam Shankman.

They just showed the 17 year old girl flipping burgers or something at a restaurant and singing good morning baltimore- she was really good. They also showed her getting the news.

Actually, the show before ET (the Insider) had a cute backstage interview with Harry Connick Jr and Kelli O'Hara, and ET is promising a Frankie Valli interview (to talk about Jersey Boys among other things).

That and Hairspray movie news makes a ton of Broadway coverage for one night on these type of shows.

It's pretty obvious that they're doing a large amount of Broadway stuff because it's on CBS -- the network that airs the Tonys. They want to boost ratings; I mean, in the Jersey Boys thing, they very bluntly stated that it was up for 8 Tony awards, this Sunday night on CBS.

Calling it a segment is almost overkill. I almost changed the channel in the beginning because I thought it wasn't going to be on due to the lack of a mention.

She sounded good, but I'd really like to hear more than a verse of "Good Morning Baltimore".

She doesn't work at a restaurant, she works at cold stone creamry (sp?)... yes I'm stupid and pay attention to stuff like that.
