They're more annoying than usual in this one.
Do you have some personal vendetta against Word of Mouth?

To me they are the people who matter when it comes to show reviews
I was just thinking the same thing.
I HATE word of mouth.

Um, FutureAladdin, I think you're thinking of critics. Yes, critics are the ones who matter. Not random schmucks picked up off the street.
One of them's a mortician for cryin' out loud. How random is that?
"...it encaptures ya!"
God I can not stand those people
I don't hate them THAT much, but they are quite annoying. And why must they be so damn positive about everything?

It's as if they hate nothing. And they loooooooooooved High Fidelity and The Times, They Are A-Changin'. God, pan something for once.
That's the point. Broadway.com replaced its real critic with Word of Mouth because the Word of Mouth people are enthusiastic about EVERYTHING. Broadway.com sells tickets; it would be counterintuitive of them to have anything but raves on their website if they're in ticketsales. Why is that so hard to comprehend? I don't agree with it. I think that in theory it's a good idea, because a lot of people are very wary of critics, but once they abolished their real critic altogether, the idea lost its integrity for me. But even if I don't agree with it, I see the reasoning behind it. It's not hard. Yeah, they're annoying but what would be the point if they weren't enthusiastic?
Also, if they're going on and on about how much they like Hairspray, that's going to help the show. It's not a "victim." These people may be very annoying, but their comments are going to help sell tickets.
Haha D2 I was going to say the same thing.
"encaptures" is not a word Audrey, 63, Nurse!
I don't get the sense that they have enough theatre experience to pan anything. You can't pan something without a frame of reference.
And I'll never forgive Broadway.com for dumping Ken Mandelbaum.
Isn't she the one who like, stuck out and wiggled about her tongue when she talked about Raúl Esparza?
Ugh, please don't remind me of that horrifying experience.
That was indeed her, Emcee.
OHMIGOD YOU GUYS, she's my favorite! That was horrifying in the funniest possible way.
And, I just had a horrible flashback.
Thanks for that Em.
I'm sorry, I'm flying on painkillers. Horrifying old ladies with flailing tongues are really, really funny to me right now.
I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN.
a. Was the little boy dropped from the thing?
b. did the old woman comment on the scandelous issues?
What's so wrong with them? I find them entertaining
Audrey must be sleeping with the camera person. I don't think I've seen one without her.

Amen. I've realized that as many jokes are made about critics being bitter fault finding failed artists, that's really not all that true and they do serve a VERY important purpose in an artform.
