Scott (MorticianDad)-
What sexual humor do you speak of? People kiss? It's a love story? Wow. Real sexual.
That just got me pissed. Sorry.

Not random schmucks picked up off the street" No...because critics could say the most horrible things about a great musical and they aren't the ones that are giving the show money and attendance

Posted: 3/7/07 at 10:18pmIt's a critic's job to give the public an informed opinion. It's the public's job to ignore it and still buy tickets for Tarzan, Wicked, and Mary Poppins. This is life, what will will be.

I do agree that they're always really positive about the shows they see.
HA! HA! HA! Audrey is hilarious and scary at the same time in the Company video.
" Raul is... (tongue flapping)... yummy!"
Priceless!

"Audrey must be sleeping with the camera person. I don't think I've seen one without her."
LMAO, especially at that picture. Oh, dear me.
I had something more intelligent to say, but I lack sleep and the 'word' "encaptured" really got me.

These people are really annoying. I really hate how they love everything and they just seem way too nice about it, like they're trying real hard not to step on anybody's toes. What's the point of even reading their reviews since you already know that they're going to love it? I'm not saying I want them to pan shows, but at least give more thorough reveiws. But I know that's not gonna happen.
I don't think it's a critic's job to be "nice" if the show is bad. Like someone already said, it's their job to give an accurate and informed opinion. I always find it funny that oftentimes, when critics pan a "bad" show that has a loyal fanbase (The Wedding Singer comes to mind) people complain that the critics are being too harsh. I'm like what do you want them to say? That it's a good show, when it wasn't? To focus only on the positive aspects and not mention the negatives at all?
It's just funny to me.......

Someone should show him.
He told my friend he YouTube searches himself, so perhaps.

Posted: 3/8/07 at 12:35pmI really do miss Broadway.com's real reviews. The Nobodys give everything such good notices without real criticism...besides Utopia being "confusing."

Posted: 3/8/07 at 12:38pmI don't mind them so much. They are real people who are talking about a show. They aren't as annoying as hauty "theatre people" who act like they know everything and look down on average joes, like the people on Word of Mouth who enjoy theatre without owning every Original Cast Album. Give these folks a break.
