Take a look. Some of the designs are actually pretty interesting!

Posted: 6/3/07 at 11:14pmHaha I love Tracy's jail cell. I don't know what's up with the bears either. Maybe it's from "Good Morning Baltimore?" Or they changed "I Can Hear The Bells" to "I Can Hear The Bears."

Posted: 6/3/07 at 11:17pmthe sets are neat, there are vids on youtube, and it looks like they completely destroyed the point of the show. tracy and motormouth are each about 120 pounds. seaweed's not even really black...it just goes on and on.

The bears are for Good Morning, Baltimore.
The whole thing is kind of freaky as they hardly have any actors of color in Finland, and their MMM was quite thin, and their Edna was quite frightening.
There are clips SOMEWHERE on the site that I've linked, but I can't seem to find them. But you can here Welcome to the 60's in Finnish!

It's not as bad as some illegal production from italy...
I saw production photos and they use Black Face.

Horrid design. Too busy -- how did anyone follow any of the action taking place in front of all that focus-pulling set design?
It simply looks like a waste of budget. Too much.

The italian Edna Tonnarelli looks like Liam Kyle Sullivan in the "Muffins" video.

Posted: 6/3/07 at 11:27pmmateo, that web-site you posted will haunt my dreams forever. it reminds me of a scary clown movie. is black face when they put black makeup on whit people? yeahhh....that's politically correct...and whats up with the same person playing motormouth and velma!? jeez....

Alessandra Catania plays Motomouth
Alessandra Cucchi plays Velma
Though they are both named Alessandra, they are both different women.

If you scroll down to the bottom:
Gwen, la prostituta...
MARGHERITA PERSIANI
When was there a prostitute in the show? Is she replacing the "flasher who lives next door"?
re: 'Hairspray' in Finland Production Photos#19
Posted: 6/3/07 at 11:35pmi actually have great grammar, it's just easier to write in short-hand on the computer, and that's what most people do.

re: 'Hairspray' in Finland Production Photos#25
Posted: 6/4/07 at 12:12amBoth productions look illegal to me, I just think that if you were to put up Hairspray somewhere else it would be like Wicked, each one the same, and if this were done with the same people in charge of it here, they could have someone here learn to show in Finnish and then perform there, it's not a new idea at all. Besides, if it took this long for Hairspray to go to London, I doubt they already opened officially in Finland.
