Both productions look illegal to me, I just think that if you were to put up Hairspray somewhere else it would be like Wicked, each one the same, and if this were done with the same people in charge of it here, they could have someone here learn to show in Finnish and then perform there, it's not a new idea at all. Besides, if it took this long for Hairspray to go to London, I doubt they already opened officially in Finland.

The Finnish production had the full blessing of the folks in NY. It was the first authorized production.

The italian Edna Tonnarelli looks like Liam Kyle Sullivan in the "Muffins" video.

Hah, Mateo, you definitely aren't the only one who thought that.

I seriously looked at that and that was the FIRST thing that popped into my head.

Ohmigosh! Those photos of the Italian cast are frightening! Their Link looks like Gaston. And "Flipper" J. Stubbs? I guess they're keeping with the aquatic theme of his name.
