Posted: 11/12/07 at 3:01pmI apologize if this is old news, but I tried a search and found nothing. The State Theater of NJ is reporting that Mr. Holbrook has cancelled his run there due to a serious viral illness that has hospitalized him. Please keep him in your thoughts & prayers.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 3:35pmHe's a great actor. As I was leaving the 2006 Tony Awards, I turned to my right in the lobby and he was walking next to me. I was in awe. Wishing him a very speedy recovery.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 3:59pmI was just "coming of theatrical age" when Hal Halbrook did the original "Mark Twain Tonight!" off-Broadway in the late '50s. He is a true gentleman of the theatre and I wish him a speedy recovery.
