Hamilton Broadway New Block Chances?

I guess not for the tourists who did not realize that it was brilliant two years ago?  But, for us New Yorkers, who saw the original cast, and who saw it at The Public, it's safe we say we have moved on from the madness and embraced other beautiful works of art.

I am a New Yorker who saw Hamilton at the Public, and I still bought tickets yesterday! For family and friends mostly. I haven't seen the show since the OBC left, but I would like to see James Monroe Iglehart as Lafayette/Jefferson though!

Don't blame Mr. Seller for a sneaky sale. People who buy the actual paper New York Times saw the banner ad at the bottom of the Monday Arts section.

I also think the prices are fair. Why should the production sell tickets for $149, when a reseller can turn around and sell that ticket for $1,200?

The demand will die down eventually, but who knows when?

There are still tickets left at lower prices. I ended up purchasing at broadway.com yesterday as only premium seats were left.  This morning, there were rear mezzanine seats for both 12/7 and 12/10 which were not there yesterday.

I think these were released overnight because they were not there yesterday.  As I was looking, they were literally disappearing before my eyes!

Worth looking at ticketmaster still, I checked this morning at 8 uk time (around 3am NY time) and picked up cheap standard tickets for the Friday of thanksgiving weekend, looking at ticketmaster there's still Standard tickets available for some dates in the block -17 November & 21 November are available if it helps anyone

Interesting. First row of front mezz on Ticketmaster is $285.

Upon further review, it looks like there are still many seats available from broadway.com. They're just about 60% more than Ticketmaster's prices

I think perhaps you're forgetting about Christmas week price increases. All shows do it.

Broadway.com is a re-seller. They are legit, but make no mistake that they up-charge tickets for their own profit. They've somehow gained a reputation as a go-to for direct ticket sales, and that is a scam as far as I'm concerned. Hamilton is the ONLY thing worth buying through them, because their outrageous prices are still less than other resale outlets, but I resent that they mislead so many ticket buyers so I try to avoid it.

Yeah I agree. The only time I have ever used Broadway.com was to get Hamilton tickets that are already sold out on Ticketmaster. Even with their fee though they were over $200 cheaper. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the show knowing I spent $650 on a ticket. I can enjoy it at $400, however.  I hope lol.

Also, I just plowed through and can confirm that as of now, there's nothing under $449 left in the block.

(There were a dozen or so when I first started looking though, maybe 10am)

Last time around, I bought a total of four Hamilton tickets on Broadway.com, and I don't regret it at all. One pair is for a dear friend, and the other pair is to replace tickets I bought on Ticketmaster that I feel are too far back in the orchestra. I will go over to the dark side and scalp them on Ticketmaster to "subsidize" the Broadway.com ones.

Considering that Broadway.com is an authorized reseller, and the tickets are will-call at the Richard Rodgers box office, I think they're a pretty good value. (I paid $349 for mine.)
