Does anyone know how the Hamilton stagedoor has been recently? Who usually comes out for Saturday matinees?

This is literally the weirdest and most random stage door at the moment. I stage doored wed night, and the only people to come out were Groff, Chris Jackson, Philippa and Andrew Chapelle. That's it. I did get to meet Tommy Kail though, which was cool.

Is that common? Are there days where most/all of the cast comes out? I'm finally going next Saturday night and was planning on stagedooring. Is it worth it? I really just would love to meet as many cast members as possible :)

I'm pretty sure than Lin and Leslie usually come out. Maybe it was an off night or they just came out late and they put the barricades away. Also same goes for Renee Elise Goldsberry.

The cold weather may be keeping some of the performers away from stage-dooring too.

I didn't know anyone came out for the Sat matinee show and was hanging around last Sat on my phone and replying to messages. I turned around and came face to face with Phillipa! She, Anthony, and Andrew came out for the matinee. I stage doored for the night and it was Phillipa, Andrew, Christopher, Renee, and Lin came out. I was hoping Leslie would come out, but it was awesome getting to talk to Lin.

Exactly.

Lin just mentioned everyone is trying to stay healthy for the Grammy broadcast, so that could also keep them from stagedooring.

Lin posted on Twitter that he skipped last night because he's resting up for Monday

Not sure about matinees, but on Thursday January 28th, Andrew, Renee, Leslie, Groff, Daveed, and Chris did stage door. I think Lin was possibly on his way to bowling! I still have never been able to catch Oak at stage door -- seems like he does it very rarely?

It took me EIGHT tries to catch Oak at the stage door so yes he is very elusive. I just learned recently that he usually escapes thru the door near the main entrance of the Rodgers. (I saw him get out of there twice). So if you are trying to complete the 11 main cast (pictured on the first part of the playbill, including Javier) then keep an eye on the entrance lobby. The rest, after trying so many times for Oak, usually goes thru the stage door. The only people who I don't usually see are Jonathan Groff (but just recently - last year he was always there at stage door), Lin (recently he is quite absent), and Leslie also is a hit and miss. The rest of the cast are very nice to sign at stage door. On matinees I only see Jackson, sometimes Daveed, Javier of course, and some of the chorus, so if you're trying to get as much autographs from the main cast as possible then do not go there after the matinee. Hope this helps!

If he's exiting through the lobby, there's probably a reason. Please respect that.

Hi! I'm planning to stage door on a Sunday. Any advice? I have stage doored before so I am prepared to wait a few hours. Just wondering what time I should show up? Was thinking maybe 12pm? Any advice would be appreciated.

I will say that when I walked by last night at 11:30, the stage door was mobbed. Like hundreds of people mobbed. Crazy to see that many people in general, but especially so long after show had ended. I had to chuckle a little as I was getting in my car across the street and saw Phillipa Soo and Steven Pasquale walk right in front of me into their waiting SUV.
I like getting signatures on windowcards but I won't stage door for a show more than once or twice to get them. It's just too much. I can see how casts from hit shows or shows with a star can grow tired of it, even if they enjoy it, because it must be daunting to face that many autograph seekers.

I've only gone to the stage door twice and both times it was for Daniel Radcliffe. And that was insanity!! To the point the police were screaming at people. I was just wondering what time I should show up to get a spot at the barricade.

Shame, it was so relaxed and chilled back in August when I went. Probably why the cast are coming out much less now.

Yeah, I was walking past the stage door in November and there was like nobody there and I just walked up and got a picture with Lin. Philippa comes out sometimes I know, and then sometimes she doesn't. She's very nice when she does. Whenever I get to see the show I'm hoping it's a little more chill and I'll get to meet most of the cast.

You would have thought the president was going to be exiting last night. I know it's often crowded but this seemed unusual. As I turned onto 46th from 8th Ave I saw the mob - it extended down to the Imperial stage door and looked like it had to be 6 people deep.
But I will say that all the shows seemed well sold last night and there are lots and lots of teenagers and college kids around with it being spring break. That age group is more likely to flood by stage door (esp on a Friday)! which could have contributed at Hamilton.

I'm worried about going on a Sunday. I feel like it will be crazy as opposed to a Tuesday night. I guess I will just try it out next Sunday and see what happens.

Probably (and hopefully). I'm the type who doesn't like crazy people at stage doors competing for signatures and maybe two words with the actor. I much prefer when it is calm and there are like 10 people waiting and its relaxed. That was what it was like when I passed by Hamilton in November and everyone was just enjoying themselves. Shame what the annoying teenage fan bases (and I'm a teenager) could start.

Well it might not be as crazy if it's a Javilton show so it may be the same as like a Tuesday night

I was there on a Thursday night a few weeks ago and it was a madhouse. I had an orchestra aisle seat and was out of the theatre pretty quickly, but even so my spot in line was almost to the Imperial stage door.
The next night I saw a show that got out earlier, and when I walked past the Richard Rodgers on the way to my hotel, there were easily 100 people already lined up and Hamilton hadn't even gotten out yet. So most of the line these days is apparently people who aren't seeing the show.
The good news is that the actors that do come out, go the entire length of the line, which I appreciated.

I saw the show back in August so I will just be waiting there for the cast. Just debating what time to get there. I have no problem waiting a few hours. I waited for Daniel Radcliffe for 3 1/2 hours.
