Re: BCEFA FLEA MARKET 2026 Collectors Unite

Sep 27, 2026 — 4:31:56 PM

Just got back. Bought a few magnets and the signed I Bag NY vinyl of Operation Mincemeat that they were selling $200 when it first came out now down to $40. I was there early and yes it was so crowded and moving around was a challenge. Came around 9:30 and the line was already wrapped around the block but at 10 am as they let everyone in it only took me about 20 mins to get inside. But yeah as early as 10:30 it was packed. Did anyone notice the lack on Tony voter souvenir program / FYC ad boo...

I bit the bullet. Only time will tell if this was a good investment for a show that is months away. I like sitting close to the stage as I am nearsighted but they better be full view with no obstruction. And I paid only $199 + fees to a second row premium aisle seat left orchestra on Death of a Salesman! (The same seat that cost $1,100 on the last weeks of the play). I’ve watched the off broadway signature production and I hope it would be as good. Sigh. Why do I feel I got scammed?

Re: HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES premiering on Broadway this fall

Sep 2, 2026 — 11:18:48 PM

Blueberries should be considered a new play. I guess it would compete withSchool GirlsMontaukInter AliaMix and Master I wonder who else would come and surprise us by April. But for now I guess Blueberries would be a (way too early) favorite for Best Play. I hope Downstate would be considered a new play so that we can have a very interesting competition. Also is The GOAT with Pedro Pascal and Sarah Paulson still coming this season?

I hope they remember him come Tony time if this closes before February. And I hope this wins Best Play as well. To say that this is the most thought provoking plays in the modern era would still be an understatement. I can’t wait how Joe Martello would weave his expertise in directing ensemble plays. This play was already a masterpiece. I hope he can mak...

Downstate Premiering on Broadway this Fall?

Consistency said: "Is this still eligible for the Pulitzer?"I would love to know this as well. While this was first performed back in 2018, I think you have to submit the book of your play to be considered. We don’t know if they have already submitted it to the award giving body in 2018 or in 2022 when they mounted it in New York. And if it wasn’t submitted at all can they still submit the book this year when it premiers on Broadway even when it has been performed a handful of times for almos...

But the Mackinnon version set a high standard."Would this be considered a revival?"It’s really tricky. To be considered Revival by the Classic rule it should have been an established theatrical cano

Downstate Premiering on Broadway this Fall?

Jul 14, 2026 — 2:23:36 PM

This is one of the greatest plays I’ve ever seen in my life. I thought the cast was fantastic, not a weak link in the Steppenwolf actors but I wouldn’t mind if they do stunt casting and gave these to seasoned movie stars. Just as long they can do justice to this very difficult play. Anyone can be replaced EXCEPT K Todd Freeman. He was spectacular. He is sure to win the Tony next season if that happens. His dining table scene broke me. My heart is breaking into pieces while my mind is warring ...

PRE-EXISTING CONDITION - Encore Off-Broadway Return This Fall

Jul 8, 2026 — 11:34:17 PM

I wish that for this off broadway return they would just have one person playing the lead throughout the run so that they won’t have to have them reading the script from a binder. Edie Falco was sublime when I watched it in its first run but sometimes when she reads the lines from the binder (like in the Encores) it takes me out from scene. Was there a purpose for this other than allowing them to have rotating leads for the show or is it really just their schtick?either way I’m still excited ...

'Schmigadoon!' dances away with top honors at the Chita Rivera Awards

May 19, 2026 — 11:48:35 AM

Wow. If Choreography would be announced early on at the Tony program, if Schmigadoon wins, Ragtime is taking Best Revival. Haven’t seen Schmigadoon yet but I was floored by Cats choreo. Hoping Cats get some love at the Tony’s besides Costume.

DRAMA DESK AWARD NOMINEES 2026

May 17, 2026 — 11:59:47 PM

I feel like the Drama Desk is copying a cue from the Oscar precursors where instead of these movie guilds/critics rewarding breakthrough performances they tend to try to give them to people who they think will win the Academy. I mean the winners list look like Tony predictions! I think the four leads for Musical and Plays would mirror the Tony’s and so are most of the technical awards. And I know I’m in the minority but I do like most of their choices.

Sally Field play in the Fall

May 7, 2026 — 10:45:31 PM

Oh my God if she would play Violet the family matriarch I would just die! Would Julia Roberts be too old to play Barbara again? We can have a Steel Magnolias mini reunion. Sorry don’t mind me. I’m a Steel Magnolias fanatic. I hope they would revive August soon. If you have Sally Field attached to it - chefs kiss! just such perfect casting. One of the best plays of all time!

Drama League Awards 2026

Apr 20, 2026 — 12:53:42 PM

I am thrilled that The Gospel At Colonus was not forgotten this awards season even though it’s such a small musical in Little Island! I really really love that show and its direction. I would have loved to see Stephanie Berry with a distinguished performance nomination but that maybe asking too much. Oedipus and Sam Tutty were truly a head scratcher. Laurie for the win.

Sorry for another seat location question but is the front row too close for this production? Is the stage too high or would there be any obstruction? Thank you in advance!
