Drama League Awards 2026 Apr 20 2026, 12:53:42 PM
I am thrilled that The Gospel At Colonus was not forgotten this awards season even though it’s such a small musical in Little Island! I really really love that show and its direction. I would have loved to see Stephanie Berry with a distinguished performance nomination but that maybe asking too much.
Oedipus and Sam Tutty were truly a head scratcher. Laurie for the win.

OEDIPUS Previews Oct 29 2025, 11:48:02 PM
Sorry for another seat location question but is the front row too close for this production? Is the stage too high or would there be any obstruction? Thank you in advance!

How do Broadway actors leave the theatre when they skip the Stagedoor? Oct 18 2025, 01:27:46 AM
I hate to admit it but I was one of those assholes who wait for some actors who chose not to come out of the main stage door. Before the pandemic I was an autograph hound and waited hours to get those signatures from these actors. In Hamilton some actors come out of the front entrance door in the lobby near the box office. That’s where I got Philippa Soo signature as she steps out of that exit with her bike. Also sometimes the security guard says everyone left al

Oh I’m a big fan of the Divine Ms. M and I even went back to watch her again (second time was a standing room only though hahaha I’m poor). Though I did enjoy it and would rank it higher artistically but unfortunately it did not resonate with me emotionally as much as the ones I listed. I’m a sucker for Sondheim and gay themed musical

It's about a grown person trying to make sense of her family and the choices her family members made as she grew up. It's about the coming-of-age of a lesbian woman as a kid, a tween, a college student, and as an adult. It's about a closeted gay man flailing about as he tries to connect with

Oratorio for Living Things returns at Signature Aug 7 2025, 04:01:45 AM
I’m having problem as well. I have Access Membership but it doesn’t apply to any tier when I put it in my cart. I didn't have a problem before with Grangeville. Any one having problems with the Access Membership?

What is best cast cd from the last 5 years? Jun 14 2025, 01:00:05 AM
My top 5 will be:
1. Into The Woods - very crisp and clear recording. That cast! - Sara Bareilles, Gavin Creel, Joshua Henry, Bryan D’Arcy… magnificent!
2. Illinoise - the most haunting cast recording. Beautiful orchestration and vocals.
3. Merrily We Roll Along - Groff, Radcliffe, Mendez! nuff said
4. Gypsy - Queen Audra … still give me chills. Ofcourse if you are a purist you wont like her vocal interpretatio

But we already had a straight George. I was hoping he would be played by a gay man this time.

I’m hoping they get Brian Stokes Mitchell as George. I love Billy Porter and I know he would kill I Am What I Am but I kinda wish as someone already mentioned J Harrison Ghee would play Albin. Maybe he is too young? Wonder who could play Jacob. Jeremy Pope?

It's a historic & 'Happy' night for Asians & Asian-Americans at the Tonys! Jun 9 2025, 02:33:04 AM
Though I was rooting for Queen Audra, I’m still happy that both Best Performance by an Actor AND Actress in a leading Role in a musical were both of Filipino decent. Legendary Lea Salonga was so happy and proud! I didn’t know Marco Paguia is Filipino! There are now 5! Tony winners of Filipino decent - Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon), Clint Ramos (Eclipsed, Costume Design), Marco Paguia (Buena Vista Social Club, orchestrations), Darren Criss (Maybe Happy Ending) and

Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach Will Make Broadway Debuts in DOG DAY AFTERNOON, Spring 2026 Jun 4 2025, 11:47:29 PM
I’m guessing one of them plays Sonny (based on the poster alone might be Bernthal) while the other will play either Sal or the Sargeant. Wonder who will play Leon Shermer? I hope they cast a Transgendered or gay actor. Any dream casting?

Snubbed but not forgotten - Tony Awards appreciation for unsung cast & creatives May 1 2025, 08:07:23 PM
So proud of Filipino American nominees Nicole Schezinger, Darren Criss, Conrad Ricamora (and of course Tony winner Clint Ramos for costumes) but sad for Tatiana Cordova for RWHC and Clair Marie Hall for Operation Mincemeat. The legendary Lea Salonga, thought did not get a nomination this year, paved a way for these performers and creatives of mixed/full Philippine descent be recognized for their talent and excellence all over the theatre world!
