I overbought the ticket limit by a few tickets this past release for shows in Oct/Nov. The tickets have now been issued by Ticketmaster. Does anyone know if they may still cancel the extras even though they have been issued?

Yes. Please tell me the dates so I can continue to check for them on Ticketmaster.
(In all actuality, I have no clue but it seems like something they COULD do. All they'd have to do is invalidate the barcode and generate a new one.)

It's certainly possible. Of course, there isn't much you can do about it but wait, and hope.
We do know that cancellations HAVE happened.
