Hamilton - Where Next

With the first international production having its press night, right now in London's West End, which has sold very well.

Also with the New York, Chicago and 1st National Tour, going to be joined by the 2nd National Tour in Seattle in the next month.

Where can Hamilton open? Could the show be big enough to have a 5th American production and sit down in San Francisco or Los Angeles? like Wicked did and the Phantom did.

None of the National Tours have gone to Canada yet, will the national tours go to Toronto, or will that city, get its own production?

Could Hamilton play other international markets, where theatre does well such as Germany, Japan or Australia?

I'm going to guess Melbourne or Sydney.

One of the two tours (I believe the 2NT) will be visiting toronto in the 2018-2019 season :) And yes we canadians are very excited about it.

Otherwise, I would think a Europe tour might be next on the docket, as well as the west coast sit down as noted.

Very curious to see how this would do in Australia. I just can’t see it being the same knock-out hit here it has been elsewhere.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Isn't LMM bringing Hamilton to Puerto Rico? I wonder if that will be a national tour stop or a separate production.

It is announced for the 2019-2020 Toronto season. Although, I hoped it would be a sit down. I have a feeling though I might go the route of the recent Toronto production of Matilda, where it opened in July and stayed until a few weeks into January.

The fact is that the show is such a juggernaught now, just look how it sold out instantly when it went on sale in London- that wherever it goes , it will be a smash.

The show is now a global story , particularly thanks to social media, and there can’t be many places where droves of people won’t be clamouring to see it.

Australia will be soon I’m sure and will be certain to be a sell out there too.
